Fast bowler Mohammad Amir has been ruled out of the third ODI between Pakistan and England, the pacer also missed the second ODI. Amir is said to be suffering from possible chickenpox and that means he will be unavailable for remaining two matches as well. Amir was left out of the preliminary squad for ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. He was, however, handed an opportunity in the England series to seal the World Cup spot. Amir was part of Pakistan playing XI for the first ODI. The match was abandoned due to rain only after 19 overs of play was possible and it was Pakistan who batting first. Now having being ruled out of second and third ODI, it is highly unlikely that the pacer will return to playing XI for the last two ODIs.

Fans and former cricketers believed that Pakistan needed Amir’s experience at the World Cup and he should have been included in the squad for World Cup. Hassan Ali, Shaheen Afridi, Junaid Khan, and young Mohammad Hasnain were the frontline pacers Pakistan picked in their squad.
Pakistan are already sweating over spinner Shadab Khan’s fitness, who was ruled out of the one-off T20I and ODIs against England after picking a virus. The spinner is currently recovering and will have to undergo final tests to be cleared for the World Cup, which starts on May 30.
