India’s Mithali Raj become the first woman cricketer to reach the 2000 runs mark in T20 Internationals. Mithali reached the milestone when she scored 23 runs in the Asia Cup while playing against Sri Lanka at Kuala Lumpur. She scored 2000 runs in 75 matches and the news elated Twitterati who could not contain their excitement.

After losing against Bangladesh, team India defeated Sri Lanka by 7 wickets. With this, they have almost sealed a place in the finals of the Asia Cup 2018. After Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bat, they posted a score of 107/7. India’s Veda Krishnamurthy who remained unbeaten by scoring 29 runs. Ekta Bisht picked a couple of wickets giving away 20 runs.
