Harmanpreet Kaur's side have had a very good all-round performance in this game, despite Gujarat Giants having some positive moments for themselves. Harmanpreet Kaur continued her fine form with the bat in hand while Hayley Matthews and Nat Sciver-Brunt starred with the ball, with them taking three wickets each. Harmanpreet Kaur (51) struck another fifty in WPL 2023 as she led her Mumbai Indians side to against Gujarat Giants on Tuesday, March 14. Gujarat Giants started well with Ash Gardner dismissing Hayley Matthews in the very first over of the innings. But a partnership between Yastika Bhatia and Nat Sciver-Brunt took Mumbai to a good position before Sneh Rana's side bounced back with quick wickets. Kaur and Amelia Kerr looked to up the scoring rate and the former scored yet another half-century. Gujarat Giants once again pegged Mumbai back in the last over but they will back themselves to defend this. For Gujarat Giants, the best bowler of the day was Ashleigh Gardner. She ended with figures of 3/34 in her four overs. Gujarat's fielding also needs a mention, with Harleen Deol being brilliant in the outfield. Kim Garth also took a good catch, which saw Amelia Kerr dismissed. Gujarat need a win to keep their top-three hopes alive, while another victory for Mumbai will confirm a playoff spot.
