MI vs DD Video Highlights, IPL 2018: Jason Roy Leads Delhi Daredevils to Victory

With no wins in their kitty, both Delhi Daredevils and Mumbai Indians walked into the Wankhede Stadium hoping to open their account with a win. The only solace that MI had was that of having a home advantage. Rohit Sharma led Mumbai Indians made Surya Kumar Yadav open the innings for the first time and the decision proved to be apt as he scored 53 off 32 balls with Evin Lewis. This partnership of 102 runs between the two, gave the fastest 50 to the Mumbai Indians. But Rahul Tewatia finally gave a breakthrough for Delhi getting a wicket of Evin Lewis, who was then on 48.

Surya soon followed the pavilion after he got LBW on 53. Ishan Kishan was the third highest run-getter with 44 runs but opted for a reverse hit and a wreckless shot costed him a wicket. Skipper Rohit Sharma got 18. Daniel Christian got rid of the danger man Kieron Pollard on 0 when the 166 runs. Rest of the 4 members hardly got 22 runs more for the team.  DD bowlers did a great job of restricting Mumbai under 200 runs.

When Delhi came on to bat it was evening already which means the ball would come onto the bat easily. The opening pair Jason Roy and Gautam Gambhir hit big shots but the lost their skipper at the score of 50. Rishabh Pant was the new man to walk in and they added 69 runs to the total. However, Krunal Pandya got the wicket of Pant who hit it off the long-off. Big-hitter Glen Maxwell too followed Pant on 13. It was Shreyas Iyer who score 27 off 20 and Jason Roy's 91 off 53, scored it for Delhi Daredevils. Check out the points table here.
