Mumbai Indians (MI) team is one of the most celebrated teams in the Indian Premier League (IPL). This year, MI team management had retained Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya and Jasprit Bumrah ahead of the IPL 2018 Auctions. The only team to win the IPL trophy three times, MI was able to get hold of Krunal Pandya and Kieron Pollard. Both the players were pouched by the Mumbai Franchise, using the Right-to-Match (RTM) cards.

However, Krunal Pandya, with a price tag of 8.8 Cr, went on to become the highest uncapped player in the IPL Auction. This year, what would have surprised its fan base was the non-selection of Harbhajan Singh and Lasith Malinga. Also, Ambati Rayudum who was a mainstay in MI's middle order was let off too. IPL 2018 Points Table
