The franchises have announced the list of players they are going to retain ahead of the mega auction of IPL 2025 and Mumbai Indians are no different. They have some big names in the retentions list. The IPL governing council allowed the franchises to retain a maximum of six players. They also specified that a maximum of five capped players and two uncapped players can be retained. The Mumbai Indians will be once again on a mission to lift their sixth title in the Indian Premier League. MI have been known who are famous to create and nurture players. The five-time Indian Premier League champions have given many players to the Indian team which includes Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah and Suryakumar Yadav. Also, MI has brought the best out of Rohit Sharma as a captain. However, there stars have not supported them in the previous editions of the tournament and they ended up at the bottom of the table after lifting the trophy last time in 2020. The Mumbai Indians have been under the headlines due to the rumoured feud between Rohit Sharma and Hardik Pandya. The unexpected removal of Rohit from the captaincy wasn't liked by the fans and it also put in a negative impact on the franchise in the previous edition.
