Mumbai, October 15: BCCI CEO Rahul Johri who has been hit by the #MeToo storm will not be representing India at the upcoming ICC Chief Executive's meeting in Singapore. According to an ANI report, BCCI sources have revealed that, BCCI acting Secretary Amitabh Chaudhary will represent the board in ICC meeting and Rahul Johri will not be there. #MeToo in Cricket: BCCI CEO Rahul Johri Accused of Sexual Assault.

PTI quoted Vinod Rai, CoA head, "Johri had sought 14 days for a detailed explanation. “But I clearly told Rahul that I cannot let this issue simmer for 14 days as the BCCI office will be affected by it. Since he wants to sit with his lawyers now, I allowed him exemption from ICC Meeting,”

As per an Indian Express report, the ICC will discuss the possibility of including cricket at the Olympics and how to tighten various T20 and T10 leagues sanctioned in the future. The decision to not include Johri was taken after women alleged sexual misconduct against him. Johri was named in a Twitter post by author Harnidh Kaur, who shared screenshots of a detailed account of the victim on her Twitter handle (@)PedestianPoet.

The victim levelled allegations against Johri saying he had taken her to his place where he said: "the final part" of an interview would take place. In his house, after she asked for water, he came to her with his pants down and assaulted her. The Apex Authority of Indian cricket has asked for an explanation from Johri on the sexual harassment allegations.
