The batting fallout for Bangladesh in ongoing India’s first-ever pink ball Test became even worse when Liton Das had to retire hurt. He was replaced by Mehidy Hasan in ongoing India vs Bangladesh first Test as a concussion substitute. Liton Das was hit on the helmet on Mohammad Shami’s delivery. Shami’s bouncer hit the Bangladesh batsman directly on the helmet. The incident happened just before the lunch and Das was replaced by Hasan post the lunch in India vs Bangladesh Day-Night Test. Das had a brief chat with the on-field umpire Joel Wilson after getting hurt. He retired post the lunch as Bangladesh reeled at 73-6. Meanwhile, Bangladesh suffered a big blow in their batting as they lost three of their important batsmen for a duck. Mominul Haque and Mohammad Mithun and Mushfiqur Rahim became helpless against India’s tough pace attack and went to pavilion for a duck. Ishant Sharma took five wickets as Bangladesh were bowled out for 106. Umesh Yadav bagged three wickets while Mohammad Shami took the rest two wickets.

Earlier, Bangladesh skipper Mominul Haque won the toss and elected to bat first. India lead the two-match Test series 1-0 after winning the first Test by an innings and 130 runs. The Virat Kohli-led Indian team is on a winning streak with winning last six Test matches.
