After Rohit Sharma’s 11th half-century in his Test career during India vs South Africa, day one of the first Test, we have yet another player who has been blazing guns. Mayank Agarwal brought up his half-century at the VDCA Stadium, Vishakhapatnam joined the elite list of players like Sourav Ganguly, Suresh Raina, Arun Lal and a few others for scoring a half-century in maiden innings both home and away. It was a perfect start of the hosts as after winning the toss, Virat Kohli elected to bat first. Kagiso Rabada and Vernon Philander who bowled both ways with the new ball troubled the openers.
