Mayank Agarwal continued his excellent show with the bat as an opening batsman with his second double century in the ongoing India vs Bangladesh Test match at Indore. Agarwal, who hit new milestones after becoming the second-fastest to record two double hundreds in Test matches fulfilled Virat Kohli demand. The Indian skipper had demanded a double century from his 28-year-old opener. Agarwal put India back in control in the 1st Test match with a fine double century to add to his 190-run partnership with Ajinkya Rahane, who missed out on his 12th Test hundred by just 14 runs. In a video, which has since then gone viral on the internet, Kohli can be seen gesturing Mayank from the dressing room to keep batting on and make a double hundred. The incident occurred after Mayank had completed his 150 runs and lifted his bat to acknowledge the crowd, who was applauding his effort. Soon as the camera panned towards the dressing room, Kohli can be seen gesturing with his hand. The Indian skipper was insisting Mayank to bat on and get a double century.

In case, Mayank gets there it would be his second double hundred in just 12 Test innings. The Indian opening batsman is well on course of reaching there. He responded to Kohli’s gesture with a thumbs-up. Mayank reached his century from 183 deliveries and completed his 150 off 234 deliveries with a boundary off Taijul Islam.
Meanwhile, courtesy Mayank’s giant score and two 50-plus scores from Cheteshwar Pujara (54) and Rahane (86), India have already taken their lead past 200 runs and are on course to add more misery on Bangladesh. Earlier, the visitors were bundled for just 150 runs with Mohammed Shami taking a three-fer while Ravi Ashwin completed 250 Test wickets at home.
