Australian batsman Marnus Labuschagne is enjoying the form of his life and his purple doesn’t seem to end anytime soon. After becoming 2019’s leading run-scorer in Tests, the right-handed batsman has extended his good run in 2020 as well. During the Australia vs New Zealand 3rd Test in Sydney, the 25-year old came into bat at number three and didn’t put a foot wrong. Labuschagne displayed great intent and played attacking cricket. During the course of his ton, the rising sensation mustered eight boundaries and a massive six too. Overall, it was the 4th Test ton of Labuschagne’s 13 Test match career and the South Africa-born batsman is looking all set to become the next big thing in world cricket. Australia already won the first two Tests of the series which means the ongoing Test is a mere dead rubber. However, Complacency is not something which Labuschagne is aware of and is eyeing to guide the Aussies to a whitewash.

Talking about the ongoing match, Tim Paine won the toss and elected to bat first. The decision proved to be spot on as the Aussies crossed the 200-run mark for the loss of just two wickets. Along with Marnus Labuschagne, Steve Smith is the other batsman to be present on the crease and the duo will look to guide the hosts to a mammoth first innings total. With Tim Southee and Trent Boult not being in the playing XI, Neil Wagner is spearheading the bowling attack and the visiting bowlers need to take wickets in a cluster to make a comeback in the match.
