For a long time now there was a buzz about Manchester United sacking its manager Jose Mourinho especially after the team’s bad performance at the Premier League 2018. However, the manager kept dismissing rumours about the same. As compared to the last year, the team had quite a poor start this season so it was obvious for the team management of the Red Devils to sack Mourinho. Now, finally a few minutes ago the official account of Manchester United announced the removal of their manager after their defeat against Liverpool earlier this Sunday.

The team lost 3-1 against Liverpool and thereby slipped on number six of the Premier League Table 2018. The team failed to secure a place in the top four slots and is 19 points behind Liverpool, who lead the Premier League Table. “Manchester United has announced that Jose Mourinho has left the Club. We would like to thank him for his work during his time at Manchester United and wish him success in the future. #MUFC,” read the tweet posted by the official account of United.

As per the press release, “A new caretaker manager will be appointed until the end of the current season, while the club conducts a thorough recruitment process for a new, full-time manager.” “The club would like to thank Jose for his work during his time at Manchester United and to wish him success in the future,” read the release further.
