Sourav Ganguly has been unanimously elected as the President of the BCCI at the election that was held in Mumbai. Ever since Dada has been elected as the President of the Board of Cricket Control in India, congratulatory messages have started pouring in to wish the former Indian captain. As per reports, Amit Shah's son Jay Shah will be secretary and Anurag Thakur's brother Arun Dhumal is set to become treasurer of the BCCI. The last date for nominations is Monday, October 14 for October 23 elections. However, there will be no elections since all candidates have emerged unopposed. Check out her tweet below:

After being elected as the President of the BCCI, Ganguly said that nothing beats the feeling of being an Indian captain. In an interview with India Today, he also mentioned that his priority will be about looking after first-class cricket. “I had requested to the CoA and they have not listened. Ranji Trophy cricket will be the focus. To take care of cricketers' financial interest," he said after his name was finalised in an informal meeting of BCCI state units. He also said that being the BCCI President is more of a challenge as India is a powerhouse of talent.
