Ahead of the first Test match between India and South Africa, Indian coach Ravi Shastri posted a message on Twitter and urged the fans to join the Plogging Run which is a combination of the Fit India Movement and Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan. On Gandhi Jayanti, he also went on to praise the Sports Minster Kiren Rijiju and lauded his work. But netizens made sure to mock at the Indian coach as he the message where the asked the people to support Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and participate in the two-kilometre run.  India Vs South Africa, Cricket Score 1st Test Match. 

On the occasion of the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the Indian coach also requested the netizens to pick up the litters along the way during their run. “Please join us on Oct 2nd #GandhiJayanti in the #PloggingRun which is a unique combination of our PM @narendramodi ji’s initiatives – #FitIndiaMovement and #SwachhBharatAbhiyaan. Credit to @KirenRijiju ji & team for making this happen #JaiHind,” Shastri’s Twitter post read. The netizens reminded the Indian coach about the dry day and a few others even asked him to pick up whiskey bottle from the way during his run.
