That's It! Shaheen Shah Afridi made his intentions clear that he is not liking all these excitements and goes big twice to end the game in quick time. In the end Pakistan won the game in the 19th over. Sums up how the campaign has went for them as they complete a very nervy chase in what seemed like a cakewalk at one point. A lot to retrospect for both teams as their ICC T20 World Cup 2024 campaign comes to an end.

16 Jun, 23:37 (IST)

Out! Just when it seemed Pakistan were getting home, Babar Azam asks Abbas Afridi to go for it and the shot doesn't end well for Abbas. Tries to tonk Ben White over long on but gets holed out at the deep. Ireland have a slight opportunity here to come back in the game.

16 Jun, 23:19 (IST)

Well the game is at an interesting turn here. Babar Azam is still at the crease and at his point controlling the pace of the game. He is accompanied by Abbas Afridi and looking to give the captain as much support as possible. Pakistan are still ahead and a poor decision here or there can turn the tables.

16 Jun, 22:57 (IST)

Out! Oh my my, Ireland have completely turned the game around in one over. Barry McCarthy bowls a double wicket maiden and pulls Ireland back into the game straightaway. Dismisses Usman Khan and Shadab Khan putting Pakistan in big trouble now.

16 Jun, 22:31 (IST)

Out! Mohammad Rizwan perishes. Plays the same old hoik over square leg to a ball bowled at his hips and Mark Adair takes a stunning catch to end Rizwan's stay at the crease. A chaotic powerplay for Pakistan comes to an end. There has been many plays and misses, two wickets and a few boundaries. Pakistan are well ahead here and will look to close the win soon.

16 Jun, 22:12 (IST)

A scratchy start from Pakistan openers Mohammad Rizwan and Saim Ayub. They looked cautious trying to counter the early movement, but Saim tried to play his shots, mostly ending up unsuccessful. He was finally able to hit one off the bowling of Mark Adair which gave them a move on.

16 Jun, 21:45 (IST)

Josh Little's cameo at this stage of the innings has come like golddust for Ireland. Curtis Campher and Mark Adair's dismissal almost felt like curtains down for them but they kept struggling and somehow made their way over the 100-run mark. Ireland bowlers have something to bowl at and they will look to make life difficult for the Pakistan batters.

16 Jun, 21:25 (IST)

Out! Imad Wasim cleaned up Barry McCarthy and Pakistan are cleaning up the Ireland tail quickly here. Imad slowed it down and Barry McCarthy game himself too much room and his furniture was in shambles. Josh Little and Ben White are the last pair and they are struggling here to scrap some runs.

16 Jun, 21:15 (IST)

Out! Ireland has been creeping their way into the game with the partnership of Gareth Delaney and Mark Adair. But Imad Wasim got into the attack and foxed Delaney to make him lob a catch into the hands of backward point. Ireland are in trouble again and getting over 100 should be their goal now.

16 Jun, 20:42 (IST)

Out! Things are going from bad to worse for Ireland. Haris Rauf was threatening with his sheer pace and Curtis Campher throught to take it on. The bounce was too hard to manage and he got a top edge which was taken thankfully by the fielder on the edge of the circle. Ireland are now all in sea.

Unfortunately, rain has been a key factor in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. Several games have been either interrupted or washed out by rain.  Specifically, Florida has been under flash flood emergency alert for the last few days. A tropical disturbance brought a rare flash flood emergency to much of southern Florida leaving vehicles waterlogged and stalled in some of the region’s lowest-lying streets. Although Fort Lauderdale is at some distance from Florida city, it has also faced persistent rains which has put the last few group games of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 scheduled there in the threat for washout. Already three games (Sri Lanka vs Nepal, USA vs Ireland, India vs Canada) are washed out due to rain and teams had to share points.
