Latest ICC Test Rankings 2020: Ben Stokes Becomes Top-Ranked All-Rounder, Jason Holder Drops to Second

Ben Stokes has had an amazing week, after leading England to a victory over West Indies at Old Trafford with his brilliant individual performance, the English cricketer has now topped the chart in ICC’s latest ‘Test All-Rounders Rankings’. This is the first time since 2006, when Andrew Flintoff was at the summit, that any English player has attained the top spot in the ICC rankings for all-rounders in Test cricket. Ben Stokes’ tally of 497 rating points is the highest for any all-rounder since Jacques Kallis had 517 in April 2008.

Speaking of the other players in the list, Jason Holder occupies the second spot who is followed by India’s Ravindra Jadeja and Australia’s Mitchell Starc in third and fourth places respectively. The top five is completed by yet another Indian in Ravichandran Ashwin.

Along with his top spot among the all-rounders, Ben Stokes also achieved a career-best third position among the ICC Men’s Test Batting Rankings. The Englishman shares the third spot with Australia’s Marnuc Labuschagne while the two are preceded by Steve Smith in first and Virat Kohli in second.

Meanwhile, following the Old Trafford Test, a below-par showing saw Jason Holder drop to third in ICC Men’s Test Bowling Rankings while Stuart Broad, who picked up six wickets in the game, climbed up to the tenth spot.
