On Thursday, the International Cricket Council announced the latest Test rankings. Virat Kohli remained on number one spot with 934 points in his kitty. All thanks to his 123 run knock in the first innings of the second Test match against Australia in Perth a few days ago. With his gritty century, Kohli earned himself 14 points to get 934 points. For the first time Cheteshwar Pujara, who scored 123 runs during the first Test in Adelaide, broke into the top five of the ICC Test cricket rankings. Ajinkya Rahane also climbed three places at the ICC Test cricket rankings and is on number 15 with 669 points. Rishabh Pant has jumped 11 spots and now is on number 48 with 512 points.  Hanuma Vihari who was recently in the news for being an IPL millionaire has shown significant improvement by climbing up places on all the three charts i.e. batting, bowling and all-rounders. Rising by 15 spots, Hanuma Vihari now ranks on number 84 in the bowling chart. He is placed on number 65 on the all-rounder's chart. Jasprit Bumrah who snapped five wickets in the second Test match against Australia, jumped five places and is now on number 28. Mohammad Shami moved up by a couple of slots and is now on number 21. Ishant Sharma’s five-wicket haul helped him gain the 26th position. Australia’s Nathan Lyon is on number 7 for his eight-wicket haul against Indian in the second Test match. Josh Hazlewood's figures of 2/66 and 2/24 helped him grab the number nine spot.
