The five-match ODI series against West Indies witnessed a clinical performance by the Indians. It was yesterday that the hosts won the game by 9 wickets at the Greenfield Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram and thus clinched the series by 3-1. The ODI series had some amazing performances by the players from both teams and numerous records were broken by the cricketers including Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and others. As a result, the performers including, Yuzvendra Chahal, Ambati Rayudu and Ravindra Jadeja witnessed a spike in the ICC ODI ranking list.

Virat Kohli remained at the number one spot with 899 points. Indian opener Rohit too retained his spot at number two with a career-high of 871 points. However, his counterpart Shikhar Dhawan who slipped on number 9, fell four places low. Talking about the Indian bowlers, Jasprit Bumrah remained on the number one place with 841 runs followed by Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan with 788 points. Kuldeep Yadav features on number three with 723 points. Yuzvendra Chahal and Ravindra Jadeja also witnessed a massive jump in their rankings after an impressive performance against the Windies.

Chahal for the first time entered the Top 10 bowlers list and is on number 8 with 683 points. Ravindra Jadeja is on number 25.  West Indies’ batsmen Shai Hope and Shimron Hetmyer also moved up on the ICC ODI Ranking table. Hope moved up by 22 spots to feature on number 25 and Hetmyer jumped by 31 places to feature on number 26.
