Mumbai Indians win a must-win contest here, tonight. Of what seems to be a tenuous chase in the first-half of the second innings saw Mumbai Indians begin slowly.

Mumbai, May 04: It is only half-way in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2018 and it seems that Mumbai Indians (MI) are already looking their way out of the tournament. Come Friday, the Rohit Sharma-led team will be looking to stay relevant in the tournament, when they play against Kings XI Punjab (KXIP).
However, this season, the drought seemed to have carried on forever. With only 2 wins from the 8 games they played, Mumbai Indians now needs to win each of the every remaining game, in order to stake their claim for IPL Playoffs 2018.
As for KXIP, it’s a different story altogether. The team will be playing after a week’s gap – something very unusual in the hectic IPL schedule. Also, they will be playing first of their 4 home-games in Indore. Currently, on the fourth position in the IPL Points Table, KXIP would be looking to climb a spot and secure a berth in the IPL Playoffs 2018.
