It will be interesting to see if MS Dhoni shows shades of his brutal hitting at Mohali too. However, with CSK already in the Qualifiers, one cannot be surprised with the team selection tonight. Chris Gayle (KXIP)
Chris Gayle, like fellow mate KL Rahul, had a stupendous season this IPL. In 12 matches that he played, Gayle scored 462 runs at an impressive strike rate of 158.76. With only a game left in this season, the six-hitting machine would be eager to unleash ‘Gayle-storm’ one last time, in IPL 12.
Imran Tahir (CSK)
Imran Tahir has had an amazing season this year. With 21 wickets in 13 matches, the leg-spinner is second on the bowling charts, only behind Delhi Capitals’ Kagiso Rabada. For CSK to claim the top spot in the league standings, Tahir will have to carry his marvellous form this season in their quest against KXIP.
Mohammed Shami (KXIP)
Mohammed Shami has been KXIP’s go-to bowler this season. However, lack of support from team members hasn’t done justice to his consistent contributions. Nonetheless, Shami will be looking forward to ending his stupendous IPL campaign on a high, when he faces CSK tonight. In 13 matches, Shami has picked 17 wickets this season.
