Playing in his fourth T20 International all-rounder Krunal Pandya had a poor outing as India faced a four-run defeat against Australia at the Gabba. Pandya proved to be ineffective both with the bat and ball. The all-rounder went wicket-less and ended up giving away 55 runs in his quota of four overs. During his bowling, he conceded six sixes as well, mostly against Glenn Maxwell.

Pandya’s 0/55 are now the third worst bowling figures by an Indian in the T20I format. He now joins Yuzvendra Chahal and Joginder Sharma in this unwanted list. Pandya also failed to seize an opportunity with his bat and score only two runs off four balls. He came to bat at fall of Rishabh Pant’s wicket with India needing 18 more runs to win. KL Rahul Slammed by Netizens for His Poor Performance During the Ind vs Aus 1st T20I

Pandya failed to play the second fiddle to Dinesh Karthik who was well-set in the middle. Pandya then fell in the last over and on next ball India lost Karthik as well. India eventually lost the game and conceded a 0-1 lead to India. After Pandya’s failure both with the bat and ball, Twitterati reacted strongly. Some even suggested that Pandya is ‘not made for international cricket’ while some reminded him that ‘he was not playing an IPL match’. Opener Shikhar Dhawan was top-scorer for India as he scored 76 off 42 balls. India had left out Yuzvendra Chahal and picked Pandya ahead of him. Looks like Pandya will have to make way for Chahal in the next game, which is scheduled to take place on November 25. It will be interesting to see whether Indian think tank goes for the change or persists with Pandya.
