Rain Stays Away in Kolkata As Australia Knock South Africa Out To Make Place in ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 Final

After the restart following the slight drizzle, there was no interruption and fans could witness full fifty overs of play and a thriller. Using the conditions to their favour, Australia enter the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 final and will play against India on November 19 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. 

Good news for the fans as it was indeed a drizzle and the umpires have walked into the middle and some of the covers have started coming off as well, A restart time is also given by the umpires. Play to resume at 3:55 PM IST. 

The drizzle has come in and got heavy enough for play to be stopped by the umpires. The players have walked back into the dressing room and covers are firmly in place. It is still a drizzle but it can be persistent.

The conditions are still pretty gloomy and the Proteas will look to make a big score. Australia on the other hand, will hope to use the overcast conditions to their advantage and take a few early wickets. 

The covers have been removed from the Eden Gardens outfield and there has been no rain so far. But the threat has not diminished. The toss is going to go ahead as scheduled, at 1:30 pm IST (Indian Standard Time).

There is no rain at the Eden Gardens so far but with a cloudy sky above, one cannot rule out the threat of a downpour impacting the match. The whole ground has been covered keeping this in mind.
