The Kolkata Knight Riders totally dominated the KKR vs SRH IPL 2024 final match and were able to win their third title of the Indian Premier League. The KKR vs SRH IPL 2024 final proved out to be the most one-sided final in the history of the Indian Premier League 2024. The Kolkata Knight Riders totally dominated the summit clash of the cash-rich league against the Sunrisers Hyderabad and won the match by 8 wickets. The win also made the 10-year-old wait for the KKR fans for an IPL trophy and it was the third overall title of the franchise. Sunrisers Hyderabad captain Pat Cummins won the toss at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai and chose to bat first. However, Cummins would have soon realised that he committed a mistake by batting first at Chepauk in the KKR vs SRH IPL 2024 final. Kolkata Knight Riders pacer Mitchell Starc drew the first blood and went through the defence of SRH opener Abhishek Sharma for 2 runs. Another wicket for loading for KKR, as Travis Head edged one past to Rahmanullah Gurbaz and got dismissed for a duck off Vaibhav Arora. Rahul Tripathi followed the footsteps of Abhishek and Head. After the fall of three early wickets, Aiden Markram tried to build a partnership with Nitish Kumar Reddy and put up a stand of 26 runs off 16 balls for the fourth wicket. However, the partnership didn't last long, as Reddy had to depart for 13 runs off Harshit Rana. With four wickets down, Aiden Makram and Heinrich Klaasen were the last reliable batting pair left for SRH. The duo tried their best to take their team out of trouble and added 15 runs for the fifth wicket. Though, just like the match the partnership didn't last long and both the set batsmen were dismissed by the KKR bowlers. Markram walked back for 20 runs to Andre Russell whereas Klaasen was cleaned up by Harshit Rana. Soon after the departure of both the batsmen, it didn't take much time for KKR to wrap up SRH. The remaining four wickets fell in the space of 40 runs and at last SRH were wrapped up 113 runs in their first innings. Shahbaz Ahmed, Abdul Samad and Jaydev Unadkat were dismissed in single digits. Pat Cummins was the highest run scorer of the SRH innings and scored 24 runs from 19 balls. Andre Russell picked up three wickets for KKR, followed by a two wicket haul each by Mitchell Starc and Harshit Rana. But this was the last cheering moment for the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the KKR vs SRH IPL 2024 final as Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Venkatesh Iyer didn't give any other moment to the opposition to cherish. The duo added 91 runs for the second wicket off 45 balls. It looked like the duo will finish the match but Gurbaz was trapped in front by Shahbaz Ahmed. Venkatesh Iyer smashed the winning runs for KKR and helped his team win the match by 8 wickets.
