After being dropped from the third Test match at the MCG, KL Rahul was included once again in the playing XI for the fourth game at Sydney Cricket Ground against Australia. It was the first time in the history of Indian cricket that two batsmen from Karnataka i.e. KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal opened the innings for India. However, KL Rahul’s innings did not last long.  The opener’s dismal performance continued as he was sent packing on the score of 9. Virat Kohli led Team India Wore Black Band Playing Against Australia in 4th Test at SCG to Pay Tribute to Ramakant Achrekar Sir.

The opener hit a couple of fours and faced six balls. It was Josh Hazelwood who got his wicket as KL Rahul defended the ball but got an outside edge. After his dismissal, the netizens took to social media to blast at the opener and posted memes after he walked back to the pavilion. Check out a few tweets below:

“Woke up late ! Just not to see #KLRahul Getting out😂 #INDvAUS #SydneyTest,” read a tweet.

Another tweet read, “#klrahul  He continues his form.but, still in the team. Also he is in all the formats.i don't know why? (Is kohli backing him?) I don't see him as a test player.he poorly performed in aus. He is already announced in vs NZ Series🤔🤔 #indvaus @BCCI.”

“While Australia is playing with a 'temporary' captain, India is playing with a 'temporary' Opener. #AUSvIND #KLRahul #TestCricket,” read a post.

Here’s another meme.

India is currently on the score of 177/2. Mayank Agarwal made way to the pavilion after scoring 77 runs from 112 balls. As of now, we have Virat Kohli and Cheteshwar Pujara batting on the score of 61 and 23 respectively. Stay tuned to LatestLY.com, for the updates of India vs Australia 4th match.
