KL Rahul was quite impressive in the recently concluded Vijay Hazare Trophy 2019-20 while playing for Karnataka. He smashed a 90, 88* and 52* runs in the quarter-final, semi-final and final respectively. However, he was not able to show his strength in the 1st T20I against Bangladesh.
Meanwhile, India hit 148-6 batting first, after Bangladesh won the toss and elected to bowl first. Shikhar Dhawan played a 41-run-knock off 42 balls, however. he lost his wicket with an unfortunate run-out. Shreyas Iyer (22) and Rishabh Pant (27) played some helping knocks in the match. Washington Sundar and Krunal Pandya hit some quick runs in the final overs to take India to 148 in the end. Sundar smashed 14 runs off 5 balls while Pandya smashed 15 runs off 8 balls.
