India's premier batter KL Rahul in a heartwarming gesture helped out a young student Amrut Mavinakatti by paying for his BCOM fees, for both first-and-second years. Earlier this year, KL Rahul and wife Athiya Shetty had conducted an auction where cricket collectibles of popular players were auction and the proceeds were given to Vipla Foundation.
In a heart-warming gesture, India's premier cricketer KL Rahul has provided financial support to a 20-year-old student named Amrut Mavinakatti for his ongoing studies. Mavinakatti, who resides in Mahalingapur in Bagalkot district received monetary aid from the ace batter for BCOM studies at KLE Technological University in Hubballi. With the help of a social worker, Rahul paid Amrut's fee for the first year and now has cleared the second-year expenses after the young student achieved a 9.3 CGPA. As told by Amrut, apart from last year's expenses, Rahul has already cleared INR 75,000 for his second-year term at KLE Technological University. As said by Amrut, Rahul last year paid all expenses, and this is for his second-year term at KLE Technological University has cleared INR 75,000 already. Earlier in August, Rahul and his wife Athiya Shetty raised INR 1.93 Crore via auction to help the needy hearing-impaired and intellectually disabled children through the Vipla Foundation. The auction contained memorabilia from former, and current cricketers, including Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni, Rohit Sharma, Rahul Dravid Jos Buttler, and Quinton de Kock amongst others. On the cricketing front, Rahul last featured for India in the two-Test series against Bangladesh, where the batter accumulated 106 runs with a top score of 68 at Kanpur. The wicket-keeper batter is expected to play for India in the upcoming Test series against New Zealand, which starts October 16.
