KL Rahul’s poor form has been quite a headache for the Indian team management for quite a long time. Even in the first innings of the second test match in Perth, Rahul was sent packing on the score of two runs. Now, in the second innings, he was bowled out by Mitchell Starc on a duck after the batsman faced four deliveries. Rahul was in a dilemma if to play the inswinger or not. The opener decided to leave the delivery and as a result, the ball knocked off the stumps as the visitors are chasing 287 runs. Out of the 11 times, KL Rahul got bowled seven times and thus equal the former Indian captain’s unwanted record. Indian openers were dismissed 'bowled' most times in both the innings of a Test - thrice. Rahul has now recorded only 468 runs in 22 innings in 2018 at an average of 22.28, which stands as his worst since his debut year of 2014. His best performance this year includes - 54 in the one-off game against Afghanistan and 149 at the Oval against England earlier this year.
