Yesterday the Sunrisers Hyderabad registered a comprehensive victory against the Kings XI Punjab. The match was held at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad and the hosts put up 212 runs on the board. All thanks to David Warner’s innings of 81 runs which actually set the tone for the game after the visitors won the toss and elected to bowl. In reply, the Kings XI Punjab did not get a good start as they lost Chris Gayle quite early in the game. KL Rahul proved to be the lone fighter as he could not form a partnership with any of the batsmen. The Kings XI Punjab opener was criticised by renowned commentator Harsha Bhogle for not accelerating his game early. Harsha took to Twitter and wrote, “KL Rahul is getting runs at the tail end of the innings but, in all fairness, his side would have liked a lot more from him earlier. Was 39(36). The runs would have counted for much more then.” KL Rahul at the post-match press conference hit back at the commentator and said that one can’t always get a 20-ball 50 each time. SRH beat KXIP by 45 runs.

KL Rahul at the conference said, “Not always as a batsman you will get off to an amazing start, you don't get a 20-ball 50 each time," said Rahul. "Sometimes when you get off to a start like that you have got to make it count but sometimes when you are not finding your touch you have to hang in there. I know that if I am set I can make up for it.” Check out the video of KL Rahul’s press conference here. Watch the video below:
With this, KXIP is placed on number six of the IPL 2019 points table with 10 points in its kitty. The Sunrisers Hyderabad stay on number four with 12 points in their kitty. Kings XI Punjab will next play against Kolkata Knight Riders in Mohali.
