Despite the big total of 202 on the scoreboard, Kolkata Knight Riders lost the match against the Yellow Army-Chennai Super Kings on Tuesday in a nerve-wrecking match. It was KKR’s Vinay Kumar who got battered in the last over and by Ravindra Jadeja who hit the winning shot for CSK. As a result, Vinay Kumar was at the receiving end.

Twitterati slammed the bowler for his poor performance and posted nasty trolls against him. This netizen wrote, “Game was lost when 17 runs were required on 6 balls, 17 runs for Vinay Kumar is like breakfast. Anything below 37 is unsafe. Even 37 is unsafe. #CSKvKKR.”

Another netizen posted, “Successful 200+ targets chased down at Chepauk: 206 CSK v RCB, 2012 - Vinay Kumar concedes 17 off the last over 203 CSK v KKR, 2018 - Vinay Kumar concedes 19 off the last over #CSKvKKR #IPL2018.”

This netizen shammed Vinay Kumar for his performance.

Here’s another nasty tweet. “My Respect for Rohit increased 10 Times because He won IPL with vinay Kumar.”

These nasty comments did not go down well with the bowler. He retaliated by asking the netizen to calm down and take it easy. He wrote, “Hey guys take it easy, it’s just a game. Where were you all when I defended 9 runs against RCB and 10 runs against Mumbai Indians!! Sometimes things do go wrong so CHILL....”

Even India’s star cricketer Irfan Pathan rendered his support to the bowler. He replied to the tweet and wrote, “Absolutely.Its game of cricket. Wish u all the luck for future buddy.”

Meanwhile, the home matches for Chennai Super Kings is now shifted to some other venue due to the Cauvery protest. According to IPL sources, Visakhapatnam is the front-runner from among the four cities, the other three being Trivandrum, Pune and Rajkot. There were already calls by various groups not to host cricket matches in the city when the state was facing such a grave situation. Massive protests were witnessed yesterday ahead of the match between CSK and Kolkata Knight Riders and an identified protestor flung a shoe at CSK's Ravindra Jadeja during the match.
