The Kolkata Knight Riders continued their winning streak as they went on to beat the Kings XI Punjab by 28 runs at the Eden Gardens earlier today. The home team dominated the game right from the beginning as they were put to bat first by the visitors. Openers Sunil Narine and Chris Lynn started hitting the ball but soon the duo left the field. Robin Uthappa and Nitish Rana went on to build a solid 130 run partnership and gave the home a sigh of relief. Uthappa scored 67 and Rana made 63 runs respectively. Andre Russell joined the party by scoring 48 runs from 17 balls and the team scored 218 runs. KKR beat KXIP by 28 runs.

When Kings XI Punjab walked in to bat, they would surely have wanted their openers, Chris Gayle and KL Rahul, to fire and dominate the home team. But that did not happen. Andre Russell plundered a couple of wickets.
