Kerala Floods: Shoaib Malik Sends Prayers to Kerala Flood Victims on Eid; Gets Trolled by Netizens in Pakistan

People from all over the world have chipped in to fund for Kerala flood victims. In fact, the official accounts of Barcelona FC, Liverpool and La Liga also offered help. After the third test match, even Virat Kohli dedicated their victory to Kerala flood victims. Now, on the occasion of Eid, even Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik sent his thoughts and prayers to the flood victims in Kerala.

He took to social media and wrote, “‪Eid Mubarak dosto. My thoughts and prayers are with the people effected by the #KeralaFloods. May Allah make their rehab easy and May we be able to have a smile like this girl in our bad days.”

While the gesture won hearts of the people in India, the act didn’t go down well with the netizens in Pakistan. Most of them slammed the cricketer for the same and asked him if he sympathises with Kashmiris too.

A netizen posted, “aur kashmirio k baaray mein khayal hai??ye to temporary flood hai lakin kashmir k logo k liye aap ne kitnay tweet kye ???”

“Aik bhi ni, bhabhi naraz hu jati e na????,” read another tweet.

“You're very much worried for kerala! And its good being human. I saw many Pakistani cricketers wishing india their independence day. But not a one msg from bhabi to Pakistan on independence day neither for new PM nor for Eid. We don't see this good,” read another post.

“Stop buttering India. God,” read another tweet.

Celebrities like Virat Kohli, Sachin Tendulkar, Vidya Balan, Akshay Kumar have rendered their support to Kerala flood victims. “First and foremost, we as a team want to dedicate the victory to the flood victims back home in Kerala. People are going through a lot, and this is the least we can do,” said Virat Kohli after the match.
