Keith van Anderson who had been quite a prominent face at the Lord’s Cricket Ground passed away today.
Keith van Anderson who had been quite a prominent face at the Lord’s Cricket Ground passed away today. For over four decades, the fan had made his presence felt at the stadium. The fan would come to the match a couple of days before Test match started and needless to say that he was well-known even by the likes of Alastair Cook. But, with the news of his demise, cricketers like Stuart Broad, Luke Wright, Faisal Iqbal and others paid tributes to Anderson.
The official handle of the Lord’s Cricket Ground took to social media and made an announcement of his death. “MCC are saddened to announce that Member & well-recognised figure of Lord's, Keith van Anderson, has passed away. Keith was in attendance at every Lord's Test since 1973 and he will be missed by everyone at the Club. Our thoughts are with his family and friends,” read the tweet.

Keith was known as the Pipe Man due to the smoking pipe that would be with him and completed his look. The Caribbean also carried a stick along with him. Needless to say that the cricketers would miss the fan. Thoughts and prayers to his family.
