Talking about the team selection, MS Dhoni has made himself unavailable for the series. The Chief Selector did not comment on Dhoni’s retirement and said that it was his personal decision. He further said that the team management is grooming youngsters for the further and which is why Rishabh Pant has been included in the scheme of things. Hardik Pandya has been rested for the entire series. Whereas, pacer Jasprit Bumrah has been rested for the shorter format of the game and has been picked up for the Test matches. The Windies tour will begin from August 3rd, 2019 in Florida.
