Almost a month ago, statements from Karun Nair and Murali Vijay grabbed headlines for their respective statements after they were dropped from the Indian team. Both said that the selectors were not in touch with them after being. These statements sparked a controversy of how the selectors had not communicated to the players after they were dropped. MSK Prasad had rubbished Murali Vijay’s claims. Now, Kedar Jadhav’s statement today sparked off the debate once again after the controversy was brushed under the carpet. Murali Vijay & Karun Nair Maybe Questioned by BCCI for ‘Lack of Communication’ Comment And 'Breaching Central Contract'.

Kedhar Jadhav who got injured during the recently concluded Asia Cup 2018, has been dropped from the remaining three matches against West Indies. This came as a shocker for Kedar Jadhav. While speaking to one of the news agencies about his exclusion from the squad, Jadhav said, “I did not know this. Let's see. You are the first one to tell me this. I need to see why they have not picked me. I don't know what the plan is now that I am not there in the team. Probably, I will be playing the Ranji Trophy.”

However, MSK Prasad said that Jadhav needed more matches before thinking about his inclusion in the team. He also said that fitness was the selector’s prime concern. “We did not pick Kedar because of his history of fitness. There have been occasions earlier when he has come back fit and then broke down, a case in point being the Asia Cup last month," clarified MSK Prasad to the news agencies. Jadhav was selected for the India A team as the selectors wanted to check on his fitness.
