The CWC 2019 tie between India and New Zealand has been called off due to rains at Trent Bridge at Nottingham. The match did not even witness the toss as it was pouring since morning. Rains played hide and seek with the fans and cricketers getting frustrated to the core. Fans and cricketer waited patiently for the game to start. Meanwhile, Kedar Jadhav was seen praying to the Rain Gods to pour in drought-ridden Maharashtra. India vs New Zealand, World Cup 2019 Match Called Off Due to Rain. 

The State of Maharashtra is witnessing a severe drought condition with only seven per cent water for consumption. A video of Jadhav went viral where he was seen folding hands and praying. The Indian batsman was speaking in Marathi and asked the Rain Gods to pour in Maharashtra where it is required.

Rains continued to play hide and seek and the play was called off a while ago. Several inspections had been done by the umpires before the match being called off. Needless that both teams were extremely unhappy with the same. Both India and New Zealand will share one point each.  The weather conditions in England have changed drastically over the last few weeks. High alerts have been issued all over England. This is the fourth game that has been abandoned in the last few weeks. Both India and New Zealand have been unbeaten in the tournament so far.
