Jofra Archer made a shocking statement on Twitter on Monday (November 25) saying that he faced racial abuse during New Zealand vs England 1st Test 2019. Archer tweeted that one person from the crowd at Bay Oval Stadium Mount Maunganui insulted him. Later, New Zealand cricket apologised to Archer and said that they will take strict actions over matter.

Jofra Archer made a shocking statement on Monday (November 25) claiming that he faced racial abuse while batting during New Zealand vs England 1st Test 2019. A spectator at Bay Oval Stadium in  Mount Maunganui insulted him by making racial abusive statements on the England pacer. Jofra Archer scored 30 runs off 50 balls in the second innings of NZ vs ENG 1st Test 2019. Later, New Zealand Cricket apologised to Archer and said that they will take strong actions against the accused. Jofra Archer tweeted about the incident on Monday afternoon. Jofra wrote on Twitter that one person insulted him.  In response, New Zealand Cricket’s official Twitter handle 'The Black Caps' replied that they are shocked and disappointed to hear of the verbal abuse of the cricketer. The cricket board also said that they are unable to find the perpetrator, but they are checking security footages to investigate the case. "Although security providers at the venue heard (sic) unable to locate the perpetrator, NZC will be examining CCTV footage and making further inquiries tomorrow in an endeavour to identify the man responsible”.  Do You Like Virat Kohli? New Zealand cricket also said in an official statement that they have zero tolerance towards abusive or offensive language. They will forward Jofra Archer’s case to the police. They also said that they will apologise to right-arm pacer in next Test in Hamilton. “NZC has zero-tolerance towards abusive or offensive language at any of its venues and will refer any developments in the case to police. It will contact Mr Archer tomorrow to apologise for the unacceptable experience, and to promise increased vigilance in the matter when the teams next meet in Hamilton," Kiwi’s cricket board revealed in a statement.

Earlier, Archer faced racial insults during Ashes 2019 match in England after some people asked him to show his passport. Archer, who earlier played for West Indies, is now a player of England Cricket Team. The England vs New Zealand series 2019 is undergoing in Kiwi’s home. New Zealand won the first match by an innings and 65 runs.
