Indian woman cricketer Jemimah Rodrigues is celebrating her birthday on Thursday, September 5. The Indian all-rounder turned 19 on the occasion of Teachers’ Day 2019. Rodrigues is a right-handed batswoman and right-arm off-break bowler. She made her national debut for India on February 13, 2018 during a T20I match against South Africa. Rodrigues has scored 186 runs in her ODI career so far along with 608 runs in her Test career. 2. Jemimah was coached by her father Ivan Rodrigues during her childhood. Her father started a girls’ cricket team at her school St. Joseph's Convent High School of Mumbai.

3. After Smriti Mandhana, Rodrigues became the only Indian woman cricketer to score a double century in a 50-over match. In November 2017, she smashed 202 in just 63 balls against Saurashtra.

In September 2018, she played a quickfire knock of 57 runs off 40 balls to hand India victory while chasing 132-run target against Sri Lanka.
