Jasprit Bumrah was ruled out of India vs South Africa Test series 2019 due to an injury. Umesh Yadav was named as his replacement in the Indian squad. The Mumbai Indians pacer Bumrah suffered a back injury due to which he was ruled out of India's home series against the Proteas. The Indian pacer faced a minor stress fracture in his lower back, which forced him to leave the upcoming series, which starts on October 2. Bumrah was about to feature in first Test series in India. Recently, he became the first Asian bowler to take 5 wicket-hauls in England, South Africa, West Indies and Australia in his debut tours. He showed brilliant performance in India's tour of West Indies 2019. Bumrah also took a hat-trick in the second Test match against West Indies in Kingston.
He was not part of the South Africa T20I series as young bowlers were given chance again after West Indies tour. BCCI had named him in the home Test series against South Africa, however, Bumrah will not be available due to the injury. Here is Team India's revised squad after the ouster of Jasprit Bumrah.
