The IPL 2025 Mega Auction will be held on November 24 and 25, where 1,574 players will go under the hammer, including an Italian cricketer.

After weeks of speculation, the Indian Premier League (IPL) Governing Council revealed the dates for the upcoming IPL 2025 Mega Auction, which will take place on November 24 and 25 and will be held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Upon further breaking down, out of 1,574 players, 1,165 are Indians, and 409 are overseas, where a total of 320 capped, 1,224 uncapped, and 30 Associate Nation cricketers will chance their luck. However, what caught everyone's attention is out of 409 foreign national players, one cricketer is registered from Italy, which is generally a non-cricketing country.

Who is the Italian Cricketer Who Has Registered For the IPL 2025 Mega Auction?

As per several reports going around, 24-year-old Thomas Jack Draca is the Italian cricketer, who put his name in the auction hat. Draca is a medium-pacer, who has played for Brampton in Global T20 Canada and was picked by MI Emirates in ILT20. In his short four-T20I career for Italy, Draca has claimed eight wickets with a best of 3 for nine against the Isle of Man in June 2024. Draca in six Global T20 Canada matches for Brampton Wolves has claimed 11 wickets, which include three three-wicket hauls.
