The second Test match between India and Australia grabbed headlines for the wrong reasons. First India lost the match and the hosts levelled the series by 1-1 at Perth. Not just this, sledging between the players of the two teams also made the news. To add on to the woes, a video was surfaced online where Ishant Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja went on to be the talk of the town. In the video we see Ishant and Ravindra Jadeja standing at breathing distance. The two players stood chest to chest against each other while yelling at each other. Ishant Sharma shouted to Jadeja in Hindi, “Don’t wave your hand at me. If you want something, come to me and say it.” This did not go down well with Jadeja and he yelled back at Sharma and said, “Why are you talking so much?” Sharma didn’t stop there, he kept badgering in, “Don’t wave your hand at me. Don’t take out your anger on me. The Indian team management later clarified that all is well between the two. Former Australian captain Ricky Ponting was one of the earliest commentators to pick it, and he later said during the post-match analysis, “Who knows what they are talking about but it does seem pretty animated. There was lots of finger pointing. They were separated on a couple of occasions. They came back together again late and then Shami gets involved. He was just waiting at the top of his mark waiting to bowl. Things have, obviously, got a little bit heated between these two.”
