Ishant Sharma and Umesh Yadav breathed fire in the India vs Bangladesh Day-Night Test and played a vital role in their side’s victory by an innings and 46 runs. The former and the latter bowled with hostility and claimed five-wicket hauls in visitors’ first and second innings respectively. In the process, they replicated a 38-year old record. In the last innings of that match, Englishmen needed just 240 runs for victory and it looked well in reach. However, the two fast-bowlers had different ideas as they hunted in tandem and guided India to a 138-run victory.  Indian pitches have predominantly favoured the spinners in comparison to the fast bowlers. The Ashwin-Jadeja duo were generally topping the wicket-charts in home Tests. Talking about the Pink-ball Test, Bangladesh scored 106 runs while batting in the first innings. In reply, skipper Virat Kohli made a scintillating century and powered India to a total of 347 runs. Since then, the visitors never looked in the content and eventually lost the match. Virat Kohli and Co emerged victorious in the first clash too and hence clinch the series 2-0.
