Former Australian Cricketer Tom Moody has been released by Indian Premier League (IPL) team Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) as their coach. The 53 years old served SRH for a period of seven years and has helped the Orange Army win IPL title in the year 2016 under the captaincy of Australian cricketer David Warner. SRH has appointed Trevor Bayliss as the new coach of SRH, who has lead England to win ICC CWC 2019 trophy.

SRH has appointed Trevor Bayliss as the new coach of SRH, who has lead England to win ICC CWC 2019 trophy. As BCCI has invited application for the position of head coach, former Australian all-rounder cricketer Tom Moody has applied for the post. After India's exit from the semi-final of ICC CWC 2019 and other series of event like Tom Moody getting axed from the position of SRH coach, Twiterrati expects Tom Moody to become new head coach of Indian Cricket team. Along with the position of head coach, BCCI has also put up an advertisement for seven other posts which includes batting coach, bowling coach, fielding coach, physiotherapist, strength and conditioning coach and administrative manager. The last date for application is July 30, 2019. Tom Moody has been coaching Bangladesh Premier League team Rangpur Riders since 2017 and has also coached Sri Lanka Cricket Team (2005-2007), Kings XI Punjab (2008-2010) and Western Australia Cricket Team (2007-2010).

Meanwhile, the coaching staff for Indian cricket team will remain the same for their upcoming tour against West Indies due to 45 days extension given by BCCI after CWC 2019. India's series against Windies is expected to begin from August 3, 2019, which will include 3 T20Is, 3 ODIs and 2 Test Matches. Interestingly, even Gary Kirsten and Mahela Jayawardena have applied for the post of head coach.
