India’s former captain MS Dhoni was not a part of the playing XI of the second match against Ireland. But Dhoni surely had a way to make his presence felt. This time he had a different role to play. He came to the pitch to serve drink to the boys.

Within a few minutes, pictures of Dhoni went viral where fans praised his humility. However, this is not the first time that Dhoni took up the duty of a water boy. Last year, at the ICC Champions Trophy, he served drinks during the practice match against Bangladesh.

A netizen wrote, “Look who is carrying drinks for @ImRaina . @msdhoni will and forever remain  a role model for any youngsters . #Respect #INDvIRE.”

Another Twitterati wrote, “Lovely that's a true sportsmanship......well done dhoni.... proud of you.”

A netizen wrote, “Such an inspiration.”

“He, being a true leader, 'Acts what he professes,’ read another tweet.

“It’s Mahi way..We are proud of you Sir,” read a post.

India won the match comprehensively by 143 runs and won the series by 2-0. It was KL Rahul who scored 70 runs and Suresh Raina chipped in with 69 off 45 balls. After winning the match Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli said, “For us the opposition doesn’t matter, and England will be the same. We focus on our strength. The pitches are going to be good, so if they can come hard, we have the batting power to match that. We have two wrist spinners, so that is an advantage for us. If we are at our highest level of intensity, it will be a competitive series which we are looking forward to. England are a quality side but we have the firepower to match them. The benchmark has been set.”
