Stirling played a brilliant knock of 88 runs from 92 balls which included eight fours and three sixes. Harry Tector also smashed 60 runs off 48 balls and batted with a strike rate of 125. On the other hand, chasing down the target, the South African innings never got going and they lost the match by 69 runs. No other batter apart from Jason Smith stayed at the crease for long who scored 91 runs from 93 balls. Batting first, the Irish team got off to a brilliant start with Andy Balbirnie and Paul Stirling putting up 101 runs for the first wicket. Balbirnie played a knock of 45 runs from 73 balls.
