Captain Kane Williamson led the team from the front and played an innings of 50 runs. Billy Stanlake also snapped 2 wickets off 21 runs in 4 overs. This was their third win the in the IPL 2018 and it was obvious that the team would celebrate the hat-trick victory.

Prior to this, the Sunrisers Hyderabad won against the Mumbai Indians by 1 wicket. Team SRH won the first match against the Rajasthan Royals by 9 wickets. The team looks forward to registering their fourth victory against the Kings XI Punjab at Mohali on April 19, 2016.
