Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav have been the major contributors to the Mumbai Indians behind their success in the Indian Premier League. Rohit has led MI to five titles in the cash-rich league whereas Surya has played many important knocks for the franchise which later took them to victory. Surya is currently the captain of the Indian T20I side and was the number-one-ranked batter in the format for almost two years. However, the last few years have been the best for MI in the past few years. Soon after Rohit Sharma was replaced as captain of the franchise by Hardik Pandya there were rumours of rift between the two players. As a mega IPL 2025 auction is around the corner and will take place at the end of this year, there are rumours that Suryakumar Yadav and Rohit Sharma might leave Mumbai Indians. As per a report by Dainik Jagran, Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav might part ways from the Mumbai Indians ahead of the IPL 2025 auction. The reason behind the same is the rumoured discard in the team's dressing room and the poor performance in the previous edition. The report further says that Kolkata Knight Riders may approach Rohit Sharma if he leaves the Mumbai Indians. Rohit Sharma has proved to be an exceptional leader not only for the Mumbai Indians but for India as well. Sharma is known for his fatherly nature with which he interacts with the young players and brings the best out of them. On the other hand, Suryakumar Yadav is calm and composed due to which he handles intense situations very well. Surya, known to be the new 'Mr. 360 of World Cricket', is one of the best match winners in modern-day cricket and can turn the status of the game anytime. If both the players leave MI, it will be a huge setback for the side.
