The Qualifier 1 will be played between the top two teams at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The winner will enter straight into the final. The lose of the Qualifier 1 will play in the Qualifier 2 at MA Chidamabaram Stadium in Chennai. The Eliminator will be played between the third and the fourth team at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The winner of the Eliminator will play the loser of the Qualifier 1 in the Qualifier 2. The winner of the game will face the winner of the Qualifier 1 at the MA Chidamabaram Stadium in Chennai.

Chennai Super Kings are the defending champions of the IPL but they have failed to qualify this time. Neither did the runner-up Gujarat Titans. All four teams that have qualified for the IPL 2024 playoffs have finished outside top four in the previous edition. It has been a story of comeback for all of them, specially RCB who made it from the bottom to the top four. One team will look to get their third title, two teams their second and while RCB will look to break their trophy curse.
