Now the BCCI President Sourav Ganguly has confirmed that the IPL 2021 will be hosted in April-May. Which means the BCCI left with a very little for the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League. In the interview, the former Indian captain also hinted that the tournament could be held in India. He also revealed that India will host England and a bio-bubble will be created for the international and domestic tournament- Ranji Trophy as well. According to Ganguly, the IPL has helped them a lot and by now he has already taken 16 COVID-19 tests. “We’ll be fine. ISL starting in November in Goa, we’ll be fine. The scare, that is not there anymore and the IPL has helped a lot. [have taken] 16 tests covid tests (laughs), so far being good,” Ganguly said while speaking to India Today.
While speaking about the other leagues Ganguly opined that he respects the other leagues in the world, but also emphasised that it is the quality of the game which sets the IPL apart. Talking about the current season of the IPL 2020, we only have a couple of matches more to go to know the real winner of the League. On Sunday we shall be witnessing the Qualifier 2 between Delhi Capitals and the Sunrisers Hyderabad. The final of the tournament will be held on November 10, 2020.
