The Indian Premier Leagues is just a few months away and the franchises have already started preparing the best set of the team. The auction for the upcoming edition of the IPL 2020, will be reportedly held on December 12, 2019. Ahead of the auctions, Mumbai Indians have bagged the services of New Zealand pacer Trent Boult. Whereas, Rajasthan Royals have roped in Ankit Rajpoot who played from Kings XI Punjab. Trent Boult will spearhead the pace attack for the team alongside India’s Jasprit Bumrah. Talking about Rajpoot, the pacer’s most memorable performance for KXIP was when he snapped five wickets giving away 18 runs against the Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2018. This bagged him the Man of the Match Award. Whereas, Trent Boult who made a debut in the IPL in 2014, played with Delhi Capitals in 2018 and 2019. Prior to that, he was with the Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Talking about Kings XI Punjab, Rajpoot becomes the second player to be traded off to another team. Earlier it was Ravichandran Ashwin who was sent to Delhi Capitals. As per reports, Delhi Capitals are also in talks with Rajasthan Royals to bring in Ajinkya Rahane to their squad for the next season of the cash-rich league.
