IPL 2020 Theme Song Plagiarism Row: Rapper Krsna Slams Music Composers Association For 'Allowing Plagiarism In Hip Hop Genre', Continues To Allege ‘Aayenge Hum Wapas’ Has Been Copied

More than a couple of days ago, Delhi based-rapper Krsna had alleged that the anthem ‘Aayenge Hum Wapis’ has been copied from his rap song. 'Aayenge Hum Wapis' is the anthem for the IPL 2020. The rapper posted a tweet on how anthem had sounded similar to the song that he composed three years ago. Back then Krsna had composed the rap song 'Dekh Kaun Aya Hai'. In a recent tweet, Krsna slammed the Music Composers Association for allowing plagiarism in the Hip Hop genre as all the song ultimately sound the same. The rapper wrote, “This is scary! I just got word that ‘Music Composer’s Association of India’ has suggested that plagiarisation of Hip Hop songs is permissible in their opinion because all hip hop songs sound the same. Shabaash! Tumhara khoon khoon, hamara khoon paani!  #IPLanthemcopied.” Prior to this, he had slammed the IPL for using his song without consent and took to social media. The IPL is yet to respond on this matter and the official statement is yet to come out. However, the composer of the IPL 2020 theme song Pranav Ajayrao Malpe is quite shocked at the claims made by the rapper and says it's an original composition.
